Breathe & Be Calm
Even during this time of the pandemic, on Fridays, I tend to always feel impatient.
I don’t know if it’s just the anticipation of the work week being almost over. Or maybe it’s all the “To Do’s: that I have planned to accomplish over the weekend. Regardless of the reason, during the work day, my body tends to feel tense and my heart rate is increased, with each anticipated second ticking away to 5:00.
This leads to today’s mantra:
Breath & Be Calm
At times of feeling impatient or anxious, if we consciously focus in on our breath, we begin to slow our roll. When I actively pay attention to my breathing I find that I automatically slow it down and on the exhales I feel my muscles release and relax deeper and deeper with each exhale.
In time, things will get done on our “To Do” list. Or that “To Do” list will change. We can’t do it all at once. So, the best thing for us to do….is to be calm and trust that it’ll all get done.
No need to do everything at this moment.
Breathe, be grateful and stay calm throughout this day.
