Mindful Monday Mood

Happy Thanksgiving Week!

While this year we all might be celebrating Thanksgiving a bit differently due to Corona Virus, emotions likely are running high. While, this is a time to reflect upon what we are truly thankful for, it seems the meaning of the holiday gets pushed into the background.

Planning the dinner menu, grocery shopping, family dynamics and now, with Corona Virus on the rise it seems like stress and perfectionism tends to overshadow the true meaning of Thanksgiving. While we really can’t control how our Thanksgiving will look and feel this year, we can control how we are going to react to it.

No matter how you are feeling this week, remember to breathe and remain calm. Be thankful for all we have and for those that are missing family members remember the positive fun times and keep that in the front of your mind.

If you find yourself feeling stressed, take a few moments and focus on your breath. You will get through this and you are a lot stronger than you think. Remember that.

Now, for some light hearted humor to put a smile on your face on this Monday morning is a short Thanksgiving video.

Have a great week everyone!

I love being outdoors especially at home in Arizona, where the weather is gorgeous and perfect for outdoor activities. Being in nature restores and energizes our spirit, which is why I write about the importance of protecting wild spaces.
